John 14:17. “...the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.“
1 John 4:6. “We are from Yah, and whoever knows Yah listens to us; but whoever is not from Yah does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of falsehood.“
All things about worship are learnt through this: that we worship in Spirit and in Truth. That we can sing songs, read books but by doing the things we should do is how we worship. Also, that the world can’t accept Him because it doesn’t know He can live in them and by knowing Him we listen to discern Truth from falsehood.
Taking an example, the Gentiles are grafted into the Israeli olive tree. This is “the Truth” that the root supports us. The promise to Avram first, then Isaac and Jacob. He didn’t do it through a people because they could reject Him. He didn’t do it through a person (Avram) either in case he also turned from Him but put Avram to sleep and made a covenant with Himself. (Genesis 15:7-21.)
Take a look also at the New Testament to understand it uses the Old (Tanach) to prove its theology. So, where the word Scripture is used substitute Old Testament. Here’s a few examples:
John 2:22 (Psalm 16:10): “After He was raised from the dead, His disciples recalled what He had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Yahusha had spoken.“
John 7:38 (Isaiah 58:11): “Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
John 7:42 (Micah 5:2): “Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David’s descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?”
John 13:18 (Psalm 41:9): “I Am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfil this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned against me.’ “
John 19:24 (Psalm 22:18): “This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled that said, ‘They divided My clothes among them and cast lots for My garment.’ So this is what the soldiers did.”
John 19:28-29 (Psalm 69:21): “Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Yahusha said, “I Am thirsty.” A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Yahusha’ lips.”
John 19:37 (Zechariah 12:10): “and, as another Scripture says, “They will look on the One they have pierced.”
So here’s a few examples of the Truth showing how Yahusha HaMashiach worshipped Yah in action and helping us to worship Him too. AMaN.
