There's three Scriptures I use to make this a viable suggestion. These are: (Zechariah 2:13.) "Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because He has roused Himself from His Holy Dwelling.” (Habakkuk 2:20.) "The LORD is in His Holy Temple; let all the earth be silent before Him." (Isaiah 26:21.) "See, the LORD is coming out of His Dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer." He's in His Temple with the Altar in prominence in the Revelation passage as well as in the first two passages. Then He emerges fro His Place to punish.
A righteous loving God will be patient so long (and it is usually long) then His righteous judgment will be shown. Genesis 18:17-18, 20-21. (Complete Jewish Bible.) (17) ADONAI said, "Should I hide from Avraham what I Am about to do, inasmuch as Avraham is sure to become a great and strong nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed by him? (20) "ADONAI said, "The outcry against S'dom and 'Amora is so great and their sin so serious that I will now go down and see whether their deeds warrant the outcry that has reached Me; if not, I will know." Also, (Genesis 15:13-16.) (Amplified Bible.) "And [God] said to Abram, Know positively that your descendants will be strangers dwelling as temporary residents in a land that is not theirs [Egypt], and they will be slaves there and will be afflicted and oppressed for 400 years. [Fulfilled in Exod. 12:40.] But I will bring judgment on that nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with great possessions. And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old (hoary) age. And in the fourth generation they [your descendants] shall come back here [to Canaan] again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full and complete."
I have other passages which I like. (Psalm 2.) (Amplified Bible.) "WHY DO the nations assemble with commotion [uproar and confusion of voices], and why do the people imagine (meditate upon and devise) an empty scheme? The kings of the earth take their places; the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and His Anointed One (the Messiah, the Christ). They say, Let us break Their bands [of restraint] asunder and cast Their cords [of control] from us. He Who sits in the heavens laughs; the LORD has them in derision [and in supreme contempt He mocks them]. He speaks to them in His deep anger and troubles (terrifies and confounds) them in His displeasure and fury, saying, Yet have I anointed (installed and placed) My King [firmly] on My Holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like potters’ ware. Now therefore, O you kings, act wisely; be instructed and warned, O you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits with trembling [lest you displease Him]. Kiss the Son [pay homage to Him in purity], lest He be angry and you perish in the way, for soon shall His wrath be kindled. O blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are all those who seek refuge and put their trust in Him!" Christ is the Head of the Kingdom. Why get in a rage and fury to resist His Government? He is still LORD though they rebel.
In Deuteronomy 29:25-29 it says: "And the answer will be: “It is because this people abandoned the Covenant of the LORD, the God of their ancestors, the Covenant he made with them when He brought them out of Egypt. They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods He had not given them. Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against this Land, so that he brought on it all the curses written in this book. In furious anger and in great wrath the LORD uprooted them from their Land and thrust them into another land, as it is now.”
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law." Cast an eye also at this passage in Proverbs, chapter 25:2 "It is the Glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings." Also, Revelation 3:7-8. “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of Him who is Holy and True, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept My Word and have not denied My Name." (It's also mentioned in Isaiah 22:22.) While it would appear that this church refers to the Jewish church because of the key of David we can all read it for ourselves. Stay, therefore, repentant and close to Him at this time. Keep yourself pure for what is coming on the earth. AMaN.
