Are we wise or foolish? Do we take hold of that which is ours in Messiah Yeshua? Are we watching the times? The Sons of Issachar had knowledge of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32) understanding what to do. This is likely, related to the intelligent and learned classes being connected with the military and declaring themselves for David. We, in this time, can appropriate it for ourselves how we like as long as we are wise and not foolish! To do this, like the Sons of Issachar, we need to watch the times. We also need to listen and obey. When we do Messiah Yeshua will direct us in His ways. This can be related to any subject, situation or way. When we make a living out of listening for the voice of the Holy Spirit He starts to speak about anything. He brings calmness. He can speak through a book. By a cooling breeze on the face. He can speak through situations and circumstances. Give an impression. He speaks in ways that only you who listens understands! Each one unique. It's not necessarily spiritual either. He can talk on subjects of the soul, like business, family, education, etc.
Bear in mind that this is the way to go! When we repent it leads us into His (Yeshua's) Kingdom. We look at Him rather than ourselves. The purpose of the Kingdom is to save souls. That's the point of it! Does this come as a shock. When we don't repent, don't move with Him, we do our own thing, backslide away from Him, harden our hearts more and more... Until we turn we become more and more a part of the devil's Kingdom and what he's preparing on earth. It's worth listening to Jesus advice.
Consider lastly, the wise and foolish virgins. (Matthew 25:1-13.) No doubt the wise ones were watching, listening and obeying. Here it is in verse 13: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." These are guidelines so we keep on the narrow path. "Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable toempathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are —yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16.)
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day —and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:7-8.)
