Omniscience: our God is all knowing. Infinite knowledge of all things all the time. He knows our thoughts, feelings, desires and needs. He knows our words before we say them; our thoughts before we think them. He knows all our ways. He knew us before we were born. He knows the thoughts of everyone on the planet right now - all seven billion of us. He knows everything about everyone all the time down to the intimate detail. Not only does He know our past He also knows our future. Not only does He know this He knows until the end of the age when death is overcome.
Omnipotent: He is an all powerful God. Almighty, unlimited and infinite. He has created all things and sustains them by His Word. He is the all-powerful and ruler of nature and history doing many acts of power in the creation. Also, at various times with His people the Israelites at the time of leaving Egypt to show the extent of His power. (Isaiah 40:15-17.) "Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. Before Him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by Him as worthless and less than nothing." A power so limitless He created the universe. Yet, not only did He do it through His love He became a servant and sacrificed His life to move our hearts.
Omnipresence: this refers to His unlimited nature being everywhere at all times. God reveals Himself in His Word as being everywhere. (Ps 139:7-12.) "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your Presence? If I go up to the Heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your Hand will guide me, Your Right Hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You." He is present in our innermost thoughts. He knows and numbers everyday of our lives. He observes not only our outward actions but the inner attitudes of our heart also.
I am indebted to the All Knowledgeable (He is Omniscient) for guiding me in the Way. Whenever I am looking for information either in the Word or on the internet He will always guide me to it usually within a day or two and some of the time almost immediately!
So, what can I say about my God not said in the descriptions above? He is Divine. A Supernatural Deity or Supreme Being. Creator God. Sacred and Holy. Let's look through the descriptions of His attributes in the books of the Holy Bible:
Exodus: He is the Redeemer.
Deuteronomy: your Teacher.
Joshua: Mighty Conqueror.
1 & 2 Kings: King of Kings and LORD of Lords.
Isaiah: the Mighty Counsellor, the Prince of Peace, the Everlasting Father and more. In short - He's everything you need.
Jeremiah: your Balm of Gilead, the soothing salve for your sin-sick soul.
Ezra: your Temple, your House of Worship.
Let's look at a few New Testament books.
Matthew: He is King of the Jews.
John: He is the Son of God.
2 Corinthians: the Triumphant One giving victory.
1 Peter: He is your Example.
Revelation: He is your Coming King.
Omniscience.
This is about the All-Knowing Nature of God. (Psalm 139:1-6.) (For the leader. A psalm of David:) "ADONAI, you have probed me, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand up, you discern my inclinations from afar, you scrutinise my daily activities. You are so familiar with all my ways that before I speak even a word, ADONAI, you know all about it already. You have hemmed me in both behind and in front and laid your hand on me. Such wonderful knowledge is beyond me, far too high for me to reach." (Jeremiah 1:4-5.) "Here is the word of ADONAI that came to me: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I separated you for myself. I have appointed you to be a prophet to the nations." (John 1:48.) "Natan'el said to him, "How do you know me?" Yeshua answered him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."
Omnipotent.
He is All-Powerful. I have already used an Isaiah 40 passage in the description. Look at how He speaks to Job: (Chapter 38:4-11.) "Where were you when I founded the earth? Tell Me, if you know so much. Do you know who determined its dimensions or who stretched the measuring line across it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? "Who shut up the sea behind closed doors when it gushed forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its blanket and dense fog its swaddling cloth, when I made the breakers its boundary set its gates and bars, and said, 'You may come this far, but no farther; here your proud waves must stop'?" Also, (Hebrews 11:3.) "By trusting, we understand that the universe was created through a spoken Word of God, so that what is seen did not come into being out of existing phenomena." He possesses Infinite Power. Through His Love spoke the universe into creation. Amen.
Omnipresent.
The third (but by no means least!) attribute is God's Unlimited Nature. (2 Timothy 3:16-17.) "All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work." (Ephesians 3:20-21.) "Now to Him who by His Power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, to hHim be Glory in the Messianic Community and in the Messiah Yeshua from generation to generation forever. Amen." Presence in every place at the same time. In our innermost thoughts. Takes up residence through the Holy Spirit all the time.
Conclusion.
Are we going to grow tired and weary at the end of this age? Or will we rely on His Knowledge, Power and Unlimited Nature? If we rely on LORD's All-Knowing All-Powerful All-Seeing Strength our abilities will be renewed. We will soar like eagles. Jesus Christ is our LORD and Saviour who our Faith is in.
