It seems, as I write this, the Donald Trump presidency is being used by the powers that be (TPTB) to engineer civil war in America. Will it end in the assassination of Donald Trump? Or maybe it's Obama? Or could Hillary Clinton turn round the Electoral College before it votes on 19 December? Any of these could certainly kick off civil war big time. Obama is capable too of some big event before his term of office ends. I wouldn't bet against this scenario (civil war). Would think that Donald Trump is my favourite for this but, of course, still very unlikely. We wait and see. There's an interesting similarity with France from the past too though. They rejected Christianity through the Protestant movement started by Martin Luther burning the Christians in the streets outside their homes as the king and his cohorts marched by. But Yahuah has a good memory. 204 years later to the day the last king of France was dragged away kicking and screaming to his death(!), off with his head, as part of an event called the French Revolution - civil war being the connection, it's the end of Christianity and current world situation as we know it. TPTB were involved in that event too but Yahuah uses them now as then to bring judgment for turning from His ways. He has His own personal devil is another way of looking at this.
A bit more history is needed to bring us up to date and show us where Wormwood fits into this. Daniel 12:7 & 11-13 says: "The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward Heaven, and I heard him swear by Him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the Holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed. (11) “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” Days can be rendered as years so if this is 1,290 years when was the daily sacrifice taken away? Would have thought it was in Nebuchadnezzar's time. This was 605-606B.C. Go forward 1,290 years from this and you reach (around) 685 A.D. which was when the Dome of the Rock was built on the Temple Mount. Hmmm. Sounds fairly conclusive to me. Without this bit of information nothing else can be worked out.
We also need to look at the 1.335 days. It clearly has some connection with the 1290 days. If we add it to 606B.C. it comes out at 729A.D. Nothing obvious comes from that date. If, however, we add it to 685-691 (the years Dome of the Rock was being built) it comes out at 2020-2026. Three and a half years (the Tribulation of Times) from now (end of November 2016) comes out as May 2020. Hmmm.
There's a need now to look at the 1260 days or years from the Abomination of Desolation. Looking at Daniel 12:1-7 again, it states “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” (5) Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?” The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by Him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the Holy People has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.” What we're looking at here is two times in the first four verses (then and now) and a description of these in the last three. Verses 1-4 give a description of then (685-691) at the beginning followed by "the time of the end." Then, in verse 6 the question is asked: “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?” The answer is: “It will be for a time, times and half a time. This is 1260 days or years. If we add this to 685 it comes out at 1945. This is what's referred to by so many as the Great Tribulation. It's basically a time when the Muslims are involved with Christians or so it seems. That's 71 years back from where we are now (2016). Tell me, have you noticed any asteroid smashing into the earth during this time and ending civilisation? NO!! Fortunately, the 1335 years gives us a better understanding of the time frame. What we need next is Matthew 24:1-29. (For your sakes, I have included the verses, underlined the different parts and given them numbers in brackets to distinguish from the verses.) 1 (1)Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 (2) For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 (3) You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (4) There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 (5) “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 (6) At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 (7) and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 (8) Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 (9) “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 (10) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 (11) For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 (12) For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 (13) “Immediately after the distress of those days (14) “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ " There's two more points (15-16) in this series for verse 30 (sign of the Son of Man) and verse 31 (gather His elect) but aren't needed for this teaching.
This is a long passage to read just for a few points. The Abomination is mentioned here in point 9 (verse 15). Immediately after it refers to fleeing Judaea to the mountains (point 10) and (point 11) a time of great distress. That's the same as Daniel 7:1. So if we add (,for instance!,) 70 years (755) after the Abomination (Dome of the Rock, 685-691) is set up and add the 1,260 years to that it comes out at 2015. Wow!! We can juggle the figures a little bit by means of the date of fleeing not being exactly 70 years and which year the starting point in 685-691 it started. There's no mention of the time between Abomination and fleeing but it is before the escape. The description is suitably nondescript for us not to be able to work it out exactly. But this seems a reasonable suggestion. However we read it it is very soon. The end then comes through point 13, we read: (Matthew 24:29) “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ This is the asteroid impact.
After this we have the Tribulation of Times or three and a half years. My guess is this isn't exactly the time just mentioned but going into all the details of how to work out these figures Biblically is really a job for the Hebrews especially Rabbis - I might do a short summary of this in a later blog. There might also be a seven year Tribulation which various different people refer to starting on different dates and corresponding different mid and end dates all of which are very difficult to work out Biblically. I usually only refer now to a three and a half year Tribulation. Revelation 12:14 now states: "The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach." This ties up with Matthew 24:16.
Then comes (the asteroid impact) with a partial description of how things will be after it. (Daniel 7:12-14 says:) "As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of Heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him Dominion, and Glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His Dominion is an Everlasting Dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." The United Nations has been taken away with their dominion too. However, some of their lives (Russia, America and a few others will remain or) are prolonged to do war. Then they turn their minds to Israel and set up the Lawless one's kingdom. Don't be surprised if our (U.K.) Royal Family aren't mightily involved in all this.
Lastly, look at the three Scripture passages relating to Wormwood I have already mentioned.
Daniel 2:34-35 says: "While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth."
Matthew 24:29 says: “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ "
Revelation 8:10-11 says: "The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter."
(A speculative reinterpretation of:) Luke 21:28. "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Hmmm. AMaN.
